Unix has won the desktop in engineering and is on its way in business
systems, as well as in high-end, process-control systems.  We believe
this is a strong response to users strategic desires to simplify the
architechture of CIM.  Therefore, we believe it is unlikely that UNIX
will lose the desktop in manufacturing over the long run.
